The Stone House was built in the 1850s by Dr. Era Todd. Wide plank floors, a walk-in fireplace and hewn timbers are original in this up-to-date, easy living home. Light fills the expansive living/entertaining space with stacked 8-foot windows with views of gardens and mature specimen trees. A circular staircase in the Great Room leads to a quiet retreat library/sitting room.
The family quarters flow from the great room to four bedrooms and three baths, two side-by-side. Stairs lead to two additional bedrooms and an unfinished space with a large picture window. The main level offers a charming French brick and marble-countered kitchen and breakfast area, an inviting dining room and family room finished with a media cabinetry.
The original blacksmith shop with vaulted ceiling and exposed beams has been charmingly renovated as a pool house with changing rooms, kitchen, built-in barbeque and full bath. The large sitting area is perfect for pool-side entertaining. A Har-Tru tennis court completes this romantic two-acre setting.
